  • Looking after the planet is important to me. What does The Lachimolalounge do to minimise its impact on the environment?
That's very important to me too. Firstly, the company that manufactures all the wonderful quality, organic garments I use prides itself on its sustainable and ethical practices. Stanley/Stella makes efforts at every stage of the manufacturing process to ensure its operations are fair and environmentally responsible. You can read more about their path to sustainability here. My printing partner is also committed to minimising its effect on the planet, using paperless ordering systems, and moving to Kornit garment printers which use inks that are both vegan and eco-friendly. They're also OEKO-TEX® approved - they don't contain any regulated or unregulated chemicals harmful to the environment. They have also eliminated all plastic from their shipping materials, meaning they save 8 tonnes of single use plastic every year! They also only print on-demand, which means less wasted fabric going to landfill. Any by-product fabric waste generated by the company is recycled and reused, in things such as carpet underlay. Win/Win!! Items shipped by me personally are also shipped entirely plastic free and in recyclable packaging - any print bags are fully biodegradable and can be popped in your usual organic waste bin!
  • What are the size measurements of your clothes?
All the measurements for my clothing sizes are in the product images for each item. BUT - I know some devices can make seeing that detail tricky, so I've popped the sizing charts here for the garments I put my designs on. The measurements in these charts are all in centimetres, and are the measurements of the garment (not your body!) as it's laid flat. PLEASE do check sizing carefully - one of the great things about getting things printed on demand is the lack of waste, so I like to keep that principle going by eliminating as many returns as possible. I always recommend measuring your favourite tee/hoodie/sweatshirt/whatever, one that you love the fit of, and then comparing it to the sizing chart. Everyone likes different degrees of space in their duds, right? • How quickly do you despatch orders?
The items in The Lachimolalounge are a mix of things produced and shipped by me personally, and those produced and shipped by my printing partner. All art prints (except square lustre 'TRAVEL stuff' prints) - printed and shipped by me, within two business days of ordering. These are shipped free to UK customers (using Royal Mail 2nd Class, delivery 1-3 business days after despatch), and with competitive rates for the rest of the world (shipped by Royal Mail International Standard, delivery 5-7 after despatch). Clothing, mugs, square lustre art prints, key rings, tote bags - these are printed and shipped by my printing partner. Mugs, prints, and accessories are generally shipped within 3-5 days, and clothing within 5-7 days.
